Picture this

I'm not going to lie. 

Sometimes it is hard to get the daily to-do's done with a new baby, let alone continue to decorate our house and get projects done.

So, it may sound silly but some days I consider it successful when I hang two picture frames filled with my photos (and not the ones that came with the frame).

I picked up these frames from Target.

I liked their large size (we have a lot of blank walls that I'm trying to fill up) and the wood picks up the wood in our staircase and the rest of our foyer. You can't beat the price either.

It's a small change for this space but makes me feel accomplished for the day!

Chairish.com, an online marketplace for vintage furniture, 

 recently asked me to design a style board around one of their brightly colored accent chairs.

Since I am in full baby mode right now, I immediately thought to use this cheerful yellow rocker from their site in a nursery design.

Once I saw this print from Minted.com with the same lemon yellow as the chair, my vision kind of took off and I was able to find other pieces that complimented the aqua and yellow color scheme.

I'm always on the hunt for artwork to hang in our house and was surprised to see that Minted.com (the same website from which I ordered Charlie's birth announcement) has a page called Art Marketplace that features and sells a ton of art by independent artists.

They have all different kinds of art: abstract, landscape, mixed media, etc. and you can even choose to have it framed for a little bit extra.

Friday fashion fix: beach bum

I'm convinced that life really is better at the beach.

Just five minutes sitting on the sand and I instantly feel relaxed and happy.

Design a DODO

Today I'm wishing my husband a happy 31st birthday!

Even though he told me (like he does every year) not to get him anything, I of course got him a little something. 

Since his iPad has been case-less for a while now, I decided to get him a DODOcase.

 These cases are durable, stylish, and are handcrafted in San Francisco. 

You can even design your own, which is what I did.

After I designed this case for him...

...I had fun designing some other cases.

It's a bit addicting.

Master bedroom: ready for its reveal

Our master bedroom (for the most part) is complete and ready for its reveal!
It's come a long way since this picture that I posted back in October. Eek.

But I'm happy to report that it no longer looks like this.
Thank. Goodness.

It is now a space I am not embarrassed to share and a place in which I look forward to curling up in at night.
