A couple months ago, I posted about my plan for our master bedroom.
It's still not complete but I got one step closer this weekend when I put together this corner of the room:
The wing back chair and ottoman were one of the first furniture purchases my parents made more than 20 years ago. It was originally a light blue color and was later re-covered in a pastel stripe.
They recently re-did their living room where the chair was residing and offered it up to me.
I was happy to take it off their hands and had it re-covered in an off-white Ralph Lauren fabric.
I got the throw on the back of the chair on sale from Crate & Barrel.
This map of New England that is hanging by the chair was a Home Goods find.
The outer part of the frame was black so I painted it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.
Here's a side by side close-up of the before & after:
Next up for this bedroom is to switch out the white roll-up shades for these bamboo shades I just ordered, which are on sale for a really reasonable price (enter coupon code UNDERTRE for an extra 15% off).
Have a great week!

Wow, that chair is beautiful! Such a classic and clean lines. Would you mind sharing the link to the RL fabric you used??
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I'm lucky my parents didn't mind handing it over to us :) I wish I could tell you the name of the fabric but I don't have the swatch and the fabric was purchased out of state at a fabric store sorry!
