Little by little we are getting the nursery closer to being complete.
So far, we have painted the room, hung custom window treatments, made a changing table, and turned a regular chair into a swivel rocker.
Today I'm sharing the latest progress:
hanging a whale tapestry between the two windows as well as adding nightstands and lamps on each side of the crib:
The tapestry is from this Etsy shop and comes in several different sizes.
It looks very similar to this more expensive Restoration Hardware version.
We also added these two nightstands which came from
They were originally red and orange and had different knobs.
So, we painted them white and added these Anthropologie knobs.
The clock was a DIY project that you can read about here.
I picked up a pair of these Target rope lamps to go on top of each nightstand.
Originally I was debating purchasing a pair of lamps that I shared on Instagram here.
I'm glad though I went with these rope lamps instead as I think they add some contrast to the blues and grays already in the nursery. Plus, they are a little more "boyish".
It's been so fun decorating this room and I can't wait for our little one to get here and enjoy it.
I'd like to say a quick thanks to Lisa from Gracie Blue for featuring our home on her blog yesterday!
