Even though the baby hasn't officially made his debut yet (today is actually his due date!),

Thanks so much! And nope we just love the name :)
DeleteHey! My sister's best friend Erin Hamilton just sent me the link to your site and I must say I am smitten! After reading your last few posts I am loving your style. Would love to feature your gorgeous nursery and the baby's bathroom on my blog for a room tour! Too good not to share :)
ReplyDeleteWow thanks so much Julia! I would be flattered to be featured!! Made my day :)
DeleteCaitlin it is beautiful!!! Can't wait for little Charlie to arrive. He is one lucky little guy!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! So sweet and serene.
ReplyDeleteThank you and thank you for including it in your Saturday 6!
DeleteFound you over on Julia's blog! I have to say I just love your style. This room is so clean and refreshing, I love the color palette you used!!

Glad you found my blog and so happy you like it! Was so excited to be featured :)
DeleteWow - it's gorgeous. I'm so impressed by all the great projects you tackled yourself! Love the bookshelves. Is the RH ottoman pouf the small or the large? I'm considering picking one up and was going to get the large but the scale of whichever you chose looks right. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Melissa! The ottoman pouf was a gift but I'm fairly certain it is the large, not the small. It is measuring about 30 inches wide like the website dimensions say but doesn't seem to be 17 inches tall but that might be because it has flattened out a bit since it came in the mail. Hope this helps!
DeleteThis entire nursery is so freakin' adorable! So funny, my baby was due on Saturday (still pregnant right now, hurry up!). I love all the nautical touches, the crib, the toy basket on wheels, everything! My only question is, what paint color are the walls? I painted our nursery Grey Owl by BM, but i'm still obsessed with finding out other subtle grey paints :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I love Grey Owl and used it in our last place in our sun room. This color is probably even more subtle than that. It's called Silver Dust by Behr. I was almost afraid it looked white when we first started painting with it but once we made all the woodwork really crisp and white, the color stood out more. Hope this helps and good luck with your baby!!
DeleteCarlos!!!!
ReplyDeletei love this little nautical room, with its subtle and calming colour palette. I came across it on project nursery and the whale print immediately caught my eye- I designed a scandinavian/ nautical room for apartment therapy with this same print. lovely design!

Thank you and I just checked out your apartment therapy design! I love what you put together especially with the sea foam green accent colors!
DeleteThis nursery is one of my favorites ever.....so soft and neutral.....you did a fabulous job!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Soft and neutral is 100% the look I was going for. I'm really am so flattered by all of your compliments!
DeleteAbsolutely Beautiful! Can I ask where you got that boppy cover??
ReplyDeleteThanks! The cover is from Pottery Barn kids
DeleteI love your nursery! Where did you get the wooden hanger for the whale tapestry? I've been looking everywhere for something similar. I hope you haven't already answered this and I missed it.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The tapestry came with the wooden hanger. The etsy shop where I bought it from can be found in the post. :)
DeleteHi Caitlin!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, and your son's nursery is so beautiful! I am having a baby boy in June and I'm considering the same rug that you used from PBK - the chenille jute. Would you say the border is gray or light blue? In your photos it looks almost blue, but on the PB website it looks gray. If you could let me know, that would be awesome. Have a great day!
Hi Kelly! Thanks so much and congrats to you. Hope you are feeling well! The border is gray but I could see how it might look like it has some blue undertones. It's definitely not baby blue if that's what you were curious about. If you have a PBK store near you, they might have it there for you to check out in person. They did in the one by me! I am really really happy with this rug. It's soft, doesn't shed (like some jute rugs can), and the pattern masks spit up :) Hope this helps!
DeleteThis nursery is so lovely! I'd love to do one similar for Baby #2. What is the color of your RH crib skirt? I love the way it looks in the pics and can't tell if it's the "White", "Mist", or "Ivory" style.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The crib skirt is the white one.
DeleteI love your design! I'm in the process of designing my soon to be baby boy's nautical nursery and I was curious as to where you got the paddle with hooks. Did you buy it or make it yourself? Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I made it. Here' s the post on it: http://thepicketfenceprojects.blogspot.com/2014/05/ready-oar-not.html
DeleteI ordered the garment-dyed ticking stripe crib skirt in white and, the stripes look black. In your photo it looks like a navy stripe. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteI think that is the one I ordered too and up close I guess it's technically black but appears blue and white when you step back. I remember being worried about that when I ordered it but it worked out fine!
DeleteHow did your husband do the book shelfs?
ReplyDeleteHe used scrap wood we had in the garage. Here's my post on it: http://thepicketfenceprojects.blogspot.com/2014/04/babys-book-nook.html
