Giving thanks

I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week! Wasn't it just summer?
We are spending the holiday down in NJ with our families so we won't be hosting at the house this year.
But, that doesn't mean I haven't been eyeing some Thanksgiving crafts and ideas...

 ...like this front door banner.
I think it's a nice simple way to greet guests that are coming over for dinner.

Speaking of giving thanks, I also love these DIY placemats.
Going around the dinner table and saying what we are thankful for is actually one of my favorite parts of the day.
Having the chance to write it down on your placemat is even better!

I also love these leaf name cards.
All you need is a white pen and some leaves
(and wow, we have more leaves in our yard than we know what to do with).

If I was hosting, I'd definitely use some pumpkins to display platters and dishes like this picture below.
It's fun, festive, and so easy to do.

As for setting the table, obviously I'm a fan of neutrals and would love to put together a Thanksgiving table made up of these things below:

Oh...if you haven't entered my giveaway for an up-cycled sweater wine bag, go for it!

I know it's a week early but wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving!

  1. I love all these ideas! As for repurposing something... I want to get a plain wood dresser (maybe from ikea) and paint it. I'm thinking ombré shades of gray for the drawers.

    1. sounds like a fun project, and if it doesn't turn out right, there's no risk! just paint it over all one color.

  2. I would like to repurpose some clothes that are headed to the thrift- maybe make pillow cases or something
