The master bedroom: don't worry..I got a plan!

Our master bedroom has been seriously neglected.
I spent most of my time this summer working on the main floor and even showed the guest bedroom some love but have done nothing with our bedroom.
FYI- I am embarrassed and practically cringing showing these pictures!

The room itself has lots of potential but I haven't tapped into it yet.

That doesn't mean I don't have a plan.
I've been using Pinterest for some inspiration:

Navy Blue... Not for nautical any more... We are Hollywood Regency now... Old blue eyes would be proud.

Reihle Queen Comforter Set

shades of blue.

Awesome modern table--an art piece, really--situated between two traditionally upholstered headboards

If you haven't guessed yet, I think I am going to go for neutrals with subtle pops of navy blue.
I've even put together a vision board that is helping me plan and figure out what I want our bedroom to look like once we get the time to do it.

I already have some of the pieces like our bed that I've posted about here.

I came across two of these lamps at Home Goods that I quickly scooped up.
I like how they are kind of masculine and industrial.

In the same trip to Home Goods, I stumbled upon this large navy blue and white map of Connecticut (which is where we live). I don't like the black part of the frame and will be Annie Sloaning it very soon!

What got me hooked on the whole neutral and (subtly) navy blue theme was this fabric I found at Calico Corners
It's called "Sail" by Thom Filica and is definitely expensive per yard.
However, I think I am just going to use it for the front of our shams so I won't need many yards.

I can't wait for us to finally get going on this room.
I'll share what we do soon.

Happy hump day!
