Mid-winter mantel makeover

We finally finished putting away Christmas decorations this weekend, including one very dry Christmas tree.

Needles. Everywhere!

Anyway, after putting everything away, our living room mantel was looking a little bare.

So, using this Pinterest picture as inspiration...

I created my own version with our mantel: 

I bought all of the candles inexpensively at Walmart.

The two glass lanterns are from a garage sale and I had the green garland (left over from Christmas).

Here it is all lit up at night:
